Minor issue: I added a bunch of applications to a shelf. One of theme (itunes) had a question mark for an icon, presumably WS could not find the icon. Digging a little deeper showed that ws was not pointing to c:/prog.../itunes/intunes.exe for the icon path, but rather some bizaar installer directory (C:\WINDOWS\Installer\{29ED20C9-5E15-4969-9279-25BF3727A3DA}\iTunesIco.exe). the filename is pointing to the correct place. I can fixed easily enough, but is it possible to have the icon location default to the exe location?

just curious.

Yes, applications that use the Windows Installer sometimes pull funny tricks like those, where the shortcut retrieves the icon from the installer instead of the application itself.

The shortcut resolver in Winstep applications is usually able to deal with that, retrieving the correct icon location. In this particular case I suspect it might be failing because of a 64 bit file file redirection issue.

Not a problem, just clear the Icon path in the Winstep Properties dialog for that item (i.e.; leave it blank) and the icon will be retrieved from the application itself.
