Some time ago I developed a technique of creating two overlapping docks at the top of the screen, offset so that each was visible and accessible with quick mouse action.
I decided to do it again.
After duplicating a dock at the top of my screen (probably something I shouldn't have done - identical objects occupying the same space with the same properties) I was left with a static control icon on-screen. I could add items, but they wouldn't appear.
I needed to edit the second dock's control icon properties - but only the Content tab appeared, and the other five tabs wouldn't respond.
I found that only after leaving the properties page up and doing something else, and then later clicking on the tabs in a sequential cycle could I get the tabs to respond. Some of the tabs.
SOLUTION: Patience.

Thought just occurred - would such an ancient version even still be compatible with Win 10/11?

Released back in 2012. It will run, but many things will not work properly or at all because Microsoft has made many core changes to Windows since then, which is why I find a bit ironic Phred's final comment "solution: patch errors in v12.2" .

Sure. Just upgrade to v26.1 then.

LOL! More than a bit ironic - I thought you'd have to be pretty out of it to expect a 14 year old version to still be working perfectly!
