Forgive me for being impertinent, but there is one more question. You have a lot of images of American Indians! Can you create a set of icons and place them in the gallery? Once again, I apologize for my impertinence. Sincerely, Peter.

I could, but to do this I would have to resize them. Not all were created equal. Remind me in around a month :)

This is an extremely offensive, racist way of referring to First Nation Americans or Indigenous Americans - equivalent to the "N" word. Racism has no place in this forum. Amend your ways!

What kind of racism is this? What nonsense are you talking about.

Eh? You're kidding right?

"American Indian" is not remotely equivalent to the N-word. It remains an official term used by the U.S. government in many contexts, including the Census Bureau's "American Indian or Alaska Native" category

American Indians is actually the right name, considering Columbus thought he could reach India by sailing West instead of around the coast of Africa. When he first met them he probably did think those were Indians from India.

Today, different people have different preferences. Some prefer "Native American", others "Indigenous", and some tribes and individuals still use "American Indian" themselves.

So, "American Indians" is pretty much the proper term, much like "Black Americans" is not offensive and provides a cultural and geographic reference. Nothing offensive about that. Now, "Red Skins" on the other hand... :D

Anyway, this is a non-issue, at least until an bona fide American Indian or whatever they want to call themselves these days jumps in claiming he is offended by the term lol
