I recently did a clean install of Windows 7 on my PC, without thinking to save the license key information for my Winstep product. It was Extreme that I bought.

I sent a lost key request to support@winstep.net a couple of weeks ago (the day I did the clean install, in fact) and have yet to hear anything (I have double and triple checked all my folders, including inbox, and junk/spam folders, by the way). I do not want to go and purchase a second copy, so I would appreciate it if someone would find my license and send it to me.

The e-mail I used to make the purchase is m.uchman@mail.com (also, may I add, the e-mail I used to contact support who have yet to get back to me). If someone could help me out ASAP that would be great!

a bit off topic, but i just had a idea jorge could try. once he creates the custom key for someone why doesn't he give a copy of that key to bmt micro? would save so many headaches.

That and it would save people from posting one of these topics ever few weeks because support couldn't be bothered to get back to people.

Apparently support doesnt bother to answer on here either, but after browsing the forums, I see support has been lacking for a few years via e-mail and on here. Perhaps it's time to move on to another product. That is, as soon as I can find one that has the same features as the nexus dock. I've tried ObjectDock, rocketdock, and a few other freeware ones and wasn't exactly impressed.

Well, let's just say, support lately works through proxy, i.e. myself. And it's not always reliable, I'm afraid.
I'm doing my best, but since I have no access to the licences themselves, I can't do much more.
Usually, though, if you're a little patient, you'll get your licence re-sent.

I've been patient for about three weeks, though I suppose I can be patient a little bit longer. I won't hold my breath, though, because this is the second time I've contacted support by e-mail (the first being for something I figured out on my own a few weeks after I bought Winstep Xtreme). Never got a reply on that e-mail, but in the end didn't need one. This one, however, I do need a reply on, but I can wait a few more days or so. I have a few things to occupy me, LOL!

Well, it's now over a month later and I still have no heard anything regarding my lost key. I think I have been patient long enough, don't you?

That's precisely what my next step is, Chucky. I've been far more patient than most others on this forum about this.

I know Jorge has been on the forums recently, so why he seems to not want to at least look at this thread and supply me with information that shouldn't take more than all of five minutes to get and send me is beyond me is beyond me. I am now done waiting patiently since it seems to be plainly obvious that I have been and will continue to be ignored, a very bad signal to send to a paying client.

I'm not a mean and conceited person, but when I get pissed about something, I tend to seem that way without meaning to, so I apologize if this post makes me seem that way. As one last gesture of patience and to provide one last chance, I'm giving Jorge until 5 PM Sunday (EST) to make things right and help me get my lost key. If nothing is done by then, I will be asking bmtmicro for a refund, as I have reached the end of my limit on patience.

I have to say, you have indeed been patient. I don't know why Jorge hasn't sent it, considering I've told him a few times already, but let's say, he tends to forget "re-send" requests.
By the way, his "support" e-mail is blocked (probably by spam) so he can't receive anything. Not that it matters in this instance...

I understand he forgets sometimes, but at this point it's kind of getting old, lol. Still, I'm at the end of my patience so it'd be nice if Jorge actually didn't forget this time, because I'd much rather not have to go to BMTMicro for a refund and look for another product. The only one out there that even compares is Stardock's, and theirs just isn't good enough for me. And believe me, I've tried just about every other free alternative out there, lol.

Oh, I believe you, mate. In fact, that was the reason I came here in the first place. Most of the other competing products are simply laughable and even Stardock's offering is severely limited -- at least for my needs and wants.

I'll just keep bugging Jorge. ;)

Exactly. Winstep was and still is the only product that beats all the rest, and it's why I use it.

One great thing about ObjectDock is that you can have multiple Weather Objects. This is a good feature. :D

That's about the only great thing about ObjectDock, lol. In any case, I'll be sticking with Nexus for a while yet. I finally got my license resent to me today, so I'm happy again. Sorry that I bitched so much about the wait, and the threat to get a refund. I know Jorge seems to have a lot on his plate, and I didn't really want to make it more difficult for him, but one can only be patient for so long, lol. Anyway, no harm done I hope!
