 Post subject: cant use preferences - DONT READ UNLESS YOU GIVE A RESPONSE

I don't know what is causing this, but its not letting me use preferences the window pops up but the tabs do not function,at first they did, realllllly slowly , but now its nothing ,please tell me what is causing this so I can fix it , I dont know whats going on. Thanks.

the only thing that does work is the "about" tab

DON'T READ THIS UNLESS YOU HAVE A RESPONSE---

tired of watching 25 people read through this and not one of them bothers to post a reply... yeah, im raging now, Lol.

You have to set the Windows DPI setting ("make text and other items larger or smaller" under "Display" settings) to 100%.
There's some kind of bug that screws up the rendering, if that setting is not the standard "pixel-to-pixel" ratio -- which, in plain English, means that one pixel of the Windows "canvas" corresponds to one physical pixel of your monitor.
