The true genius behind Sputnik was Treetog

And talking about Treetog (Renato C.Veras) just wanted to share what I learned about him yesterday: he stopped being a graphics designer 5 years ago ( :( ) and instead opened an extremely successful Pulp Fiction themed restaurant in Brazil. Apparently the restaurant is very well known, with lots of magazine articles and very good reviews. :)

If anyone deserves success, it's him. :)

Great information. Treetog's themes are really good. I am sure anyone that puts as much time as he did into his designs wil be successful in whatever they do with the same inout. :)

GEL Puzzle Xtreme - next upload.
If you think this one was easy, in so many ways it was extremely difficult. The workshelf pixel stretch and vertical stretch or tile are a pixel by pixel thing. I sort of know what i am doing but sometimes it does not help, I have to go back and redo the graphic to a different size so the math works lol
I found it can do whatever I want it to with displaying, within reason i.e. It's just making sure to remember to save as I go.
[It's all learning :) ]

If you look at some of the other elements of Treetog's Sputnik suite of themes, you will see where I got my inspiration.

Paul humility is a beautiful thing.
Microsoft has forever gone look at me when they have been developers on what existed before. Being evolutionary is a good thing. Revolutionary intends to inspire pariahdom.

You did the hard yards, regardless of the inspiration it came from. I took mine from yours you took yours from his - so on and so forth.
we all learn from each other and take what we like from the other to inspire us to create new things.
Without some foundation there is no house. Winstep themes are no different. we are basically themetic architects building upon a design foundation generated by our peers.
You did a great job. Treetog was great and we all get inspired. Without it, we would stop creating.

OK believe it or not by popular PM request i decided to tidy this up and upload it. I put a lot of work into this one. It's pretty clean considering how bulky it is. It also has a nice "earthy" feel to it.

"FRUIT and WINE"

Seriously though, if this is knocked back like one which Webgizmos actually gave me permission to upload, I have no choice but to limit what I send to Wincustomize. If I did not know better I'd say that "Jabo" or whatever his name is, may have taken umbridge at an earlier upload where copyright was concerned with UBISOFT and Monty Python. I did check, he couldn't really have stopped it because it was no breach. While I take no personal offence, paranoia from a copyright perspective is a double-edged sword. It protects and causes alienation when incorrectly applied. I have nearly setup a separate area on my site which I will post here for people to download and create a new thread purely for Winstep designers to post their own links for downloads.
By the way Jorge, I mailed support at UBISOFT, they basically said Jabo was an idiot indirectly to block fan-based desktops on copyright or art copying grounds and that the file I sent Wincustomize was more than satisfactory - and they should not have stopped it because as you said Jorge, they encourage free advertising and if there was an issue they said as much that they would have asked them to take it down. [I sent a screenshot]
FRUIT and WINE - [I have made note the wallpaper is not included]. They stop this one, then my uploads there will be very limited. You could see it as personal, but it isn't. I do not suffer fools when time is all I have now and not a lot of it.
Cheers

No orchestra is complete without the Conductor. This worked out better than expected. I guess I will see if it gets through. Cannot see why not. My own hometown orchestra in the wallpaper and it's public domain. Tidied it all up :)
Uploaded...

If not, then I guess I will supply a link as mentioned above previously.

FAILED UPLOADS - No different to any others on here. It uploads then refreshes with nothing added - blank in the uploaded after "Add the file"

A few new ones. I have a feeling the study will be knocked back because they knocked the screenshot back. I think they may have an aversion to "Wood porn"
;)

"The Study" [Wood porn"
"White Satin" [2nd in series after Black Silk] and
"Black Lightning"

I tried to attach the file that was rejected as a screenshot showing that it did not matter what contextually utilised imagery they used if sticking to the title of the theme, it would work..
I will try once more.
It just refreshes and then nothing I do not know why the file is not that big and I suppose they did not like 8 desktops shunted onto one lol

No, it fails perpetually.Refreshes when it normally says uit is inline but nada, zilch...
The file size:

EVERYONE has "Pet projects" - You know, the things they do for themselves truly that have not a great deal of meaning except to the author. This is one of them. I do not know if anyone will find it useful or for that matter something that they might want to have on their desktop.

As I mentioned some time ago, about four and a half years ago I paid to have a custom signature bass made to my specifications by one of the best Luthiers around in the U.K. There are many worldwide, but I liked the way he designed a little outside the square and was not dismissive with electronic or aesthetic requirements. Well, I waited a long time and made a construction wallpaper and am about to make the winstep skin to match.

Trivia nonetheless to most people I suppose but it was the culmination of being a musician for 40 years so I figured I earned my own signature bass. :)

Here is the finished product - Uploaded to Wincustomise - This is truly like the bass a one of a kind wallpaper because simply, electronically everything was designed by myself - the bass, the electronic layout and combinations, colours, shape the works. So the wallpaper is the same - unique. should be available when they get around to it - probably Monday next week or after.
Cheers
