Problems with reconfiguration Nexus after system crash

After system crash I have to restore all files, also Nexus Ultimate. But without to become too stressful, I have full access to the old files and tried to copy the content from the old to the new Winstep-folder but without results. So where are the informations about my Nexus configuration? By Stardock it's an simple ini-file, but I can't find anything there. Someone who can help me, maybe I'm blind.

Like most applications, Nexus stores settings in the Windows Registry, not on INI files.

This is one of the reasons why it has backup and restore functions in the Advanced tab of Preferences - those will save settings to a text file or restore from one.

If you never used the Backup feature I'm afraid you will have no choice but to re-construct your old setup from scratch, sorry.

Thanks for helping me, any suggestion where I have to search in the registery? Maybe I can reimport the config.

Settings are stored under

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\WinSTEP2000

Tx for your help, but my idea is garbage, because I've found a way to open the other registry, but I can't find the path to the winstep-settings in there. I'm afraid I have to rebuild from new.
