Is there a way to set an event to repeat every two weeks on the same day? :)
If not, could one be created? 8)

Thank you for a great product! :D

I suppose you can simply use the 'On' option in the Monthly schedule, since days selected in the calendar are not mutually exclusive: for instance, set the alarm to run on the 1st and also on the 15th of every month.

Would that do?

If it's something like my son's allergy injections, no. They're supposed to happen every 14 days.

Yeah, I see...

Guess what's needed is an extra option in the Weekly schedule, e.g.; 'Repeat every <x> weeks', with 'Repeat every week' as the default.

My only concern is that the other schedule options are pretty much independent of a starting date/time when editing the alarm - this would probably be the only option where the last run time is actually relevant.

And if I add that, adding 'for <x> weeks' might become an option too.

EDIT: the when to start that schedule issue can probably be solved by adding a 'starting from dd/mm/yyyy' option (defaulting to the date the alarm is first created), which would make tracking the last run time irrelevant since the whole sequence can then be properly recalculated every time from that base date.

Anyway, I'm glad to see that more and more people are using the alarms and find them useful. :)

Ok, I've added two new options to the Weekly schedule: the day it starts (Beginning) and the repetition interval (Every).

Since Beginning is set to 'today' and repetition interval to 1 (i.e.; every week) by default, when making a normal weekly schedule these two new fields can be safely ignored. These changes will also not affect currently active weekly schedules.

Please don't forget to test these new options out on the next beta and report back. You can simulate time passing by clicking on the 'Skip Next Activation' button.

Really appreciate the attention given to the alarm and calendar functions. I can use them for a bunch of stuff now. Thanks Jorge.

Thanks for the thumbs up! Always nice to know when the stuff you created is actually being put to good use. :)

In retrospect I think that even the new weekly options do not solve this issue.

They're great if you want something to happen on a specific day(s) of the week, but what if you want something to happen, say, every 10 days?

For that you would need something like 'Start at hh:mm on dd/mm/yyyy and repeat every <x> days'. Basically the 'Once' panel but with a 'repeat every <x> days' option added to it.

Since you already have Once, Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Every Year schedules, perhaps I could call this 'Periodically' ?

That sounds like a good name for it.
