Well spotted, thanks. Issue has been there (unspotted or unreported until now) since it became possible to set the themes of modules to None.

Subtle reminder, well played, it worked lol.

However, I'm not sure I understand what you mean by 'selecting the RAM Meter'

When you click on it or right-click

well it has been a circular trip of issues, i discovered this because i had been loking into the transparency issue, which i wouldn't have found out if i wasnt looking for a workaround for the flicker when docks/modules are set to be on bottom

Not able to reproduce it here then.

What are your settings for the Desktop RAM Meter module?

both modules are at 75 % size, and were at 70% transparency (i changed it to 69% to test if it would affect the issue)
no colorization and same (default) blur settings, nothing enabled under more options ether, under RAM meter setings its set to filled histogram with
( i think) default clour

i can send you my settings backup again

if they weren't placed one under another, and i wasn't so obsessive about the modules matching i probably wouldn't notice (don't ask me how much effort went to aligning them just right)

Lol...

Unfortunately I still can't reproduce it here. And I just run out of time for this release. :(

Ok this one is on me, tinkered a bit and found out what it is, its because there is something off with my email icon, it has a large area of transparency so when RAM meter z order is normal it overlaps with that (when RAM module is over the transparent email module area it gains a shadow that makes it darker, when email module is on top the shadow disappears)

http://prntscr.com/e0zh2i

i don't remember exactly why i made it that way, i think it was the only way i managed to get the Font size right for it (i used Cabal extreme theme as base and modified the icon)

similar shadow can be seen if you place a module in the area where shelf extends if the module is 'above' the shelf (*only when that module is transparent)

http://prntscr.com/e0zkfk
http://prntscr.com/e0zkxe

edit: the 'shadows' are visible even when the transparent object is something other than winstep

http://prntscr.com/e0zouk

(in this picture workshelf, email checker and net module give of 'shadow' on transparent GOM player, though transparent docks do not)

To 'grab' mouse pointer movements over them, the screen objects (docks, etc...) cannot be 100% invisible. Those areas around them are 99.9% transparent, enough not be seen by the naked eye but also enough for Windows to pass mouse movements to the window underneath.

When you start combining alphas, however, that can happen. :)

Anyway, v17.1 is now officially released and just in the nick of time, go grab it.

yea, once when i figured out whats happening i realized it wasn't a bug, though, mouse doesn't react to those areas around the module icons, and the shadow doesn't appear over the transparent docks. If the modules weren't placed just exactly the way they are i would have realized whats going on sooner
