Hmmmm, I had no problem setting up my flip calendar. And the options Seeker mentions work fine for changing colors, etc.

Does the Flip Calendar work? Or is that a future enhancement. I set it to flip calendar bur it never goes to a flip calendar. |

Right click on your full month calendar module and select "Display as Icon".

You guys don't follow the 'What's new in this release?' link in the Update Manager, or don't read it all, and then this happens.  Normally a desktop module will assume the look (and style) of it's iconic little brother if the current theme has no skin for it, or (recent addition) if you deliberately specify 'No Theme' for it. However, a *desktop* calendar is pretty much useless if all it can do is show you what day it is *today*. For that you have the iconic version. So, the calendar *desktop* module is unique in that it is the only desktop module that will actually show a default fully functional 'skin' even when none exists for it in the currently selected theme (and, with the calendar module being so new, no existing theme has skins for it, period). This allows it to be used as a real calendar, one where you can see which day of the week a particular day is, navigate forward and backwards in time, show scheduled clock alarm events, etc... This default skin even goes as far as matching the currently selected iconic style. If you really want the desktop module to assume the iconic shape instead, then right click on it and select 'Display as Icon'. It will then behave exactly as the iconic version - and no, you won't be able to navigate forwards and backwards in time with it, because there is no room in the icon for arrows. This said, the flip-calendar in icon format WILL flip - at midnight of that day. |
