How to make the shelf all hidden in the status bar? |

Unfortunately there is no way to hide the Shelf completely when collapsed. That behavior is actually by design and was implemented a long time ago to mimic the behavior of the Windows taskbar when hidden (the taskbar would always leave an edge visible). Also, the Shelf, unlike the taskbar, can be detached from the screen edge (i.e.; left floating) and, at the same time, the edge bump activation can be independently disabled - without that little edge visible you would then have no way to restore the Shelf. Since this is not the first time someone has requested this, I might eventually change that behavior - which would mean forcing an edge bump to activate the Shelf (even when explicitly disabled by the user) is the Shelf is set to collapse to 'nothing'. |
