since the update to Windows 10 creators version Winstep is acting slow.

clicking the windows button has a slow response. clicking the search button from winstep multiple times makes the systemn repond even slower while the search button does not work at al anymore
same goes for the windows button

there is something inside the creators update that winstep does not like.

I noticed some weirdness too but it was related only to the position of the system tray icons (sound, network, etc...) pop up windows. For instance, in the Windows 10 PC I have here clicking the volume icon in the dock would make the mixer panel popup at the left of the screen instead of centered below the icon as it should.

This is the result of Microsoft applying RAD (Rapid Application Development) to an OS: nothing remains stable for long. Personally I'm pretty fed up with Microsoft, and I know I'm not the only one.

Not aware of any problems clicking the Start Menu IC, though. Here it pops up the Windows Start Menu as normal (Nexus doesn't try to change the original position of the Start Menu, as it happens with the tray pop up panels, so it doesn't interfere with the animation either).

So, exactly what happens there when you click the Start Menu internal command icon ONCE?

Anyway, guys, these things may vary from system to system, so anyone else noticing weirdness with Winstep applications on the Creator's update version of Windows 10 please post here.

Hello,
isolved the problem.
it was related to 2 things

1: search option problems related to creators version

https://thewincentral.com/how-fix-windows-10-taskbar-search-not-working-issue/

2: nvidia driver update especially for creators update.
https://venturebeat.com/2017/04/07/new-nvidia-geforce-drivers-support-windows-10-creators-update-and-quake-champions/

1 did not solve the problem.
After i installed the latest nvidia driver the problems were gone.

the problems i had were like
start button responding slow or not at al
search function from winstep slow or not working at al(also the same ehen using search from windows start button)

so not related to Winstep but definately a real problem.
hopefully i can help other with this post

It's really great. Taskbar Search is a very essential feature of Windows 10, So far like everything else in the operating system, is a little volatile at times. I have caught of issues windows 10 search not working before and after the Windows 10 Update.
Thanks
