| Post subject: | How Can I change Text Color? |
I am not sure just what my wife did but we have Winstep Xtreme. At some point her text color changed in her menu(s) and can just not be read. Nothing seems to fix it. It does not seem to be a Windows 10 issue. Her Winstep Background theme is Evolve which is a dark background. However, instead of white text it is now black! We need to make it black again. What am I missing? |

Menus only? Ok, try this: open NextSTART Preferences, go to the Themes tab. Now click the Fonts button at the bottom left. In the dialog that pops up, select 'Menu Buttons'. What is the text color set to? |

You have to make sure you do this in NextSTART Preferences, not WorkShelf Preferences. If that's not it, there are a couple of other things we can look at. |

Eheh. Open WorkShelf Preferences, go to the Themes tab. Now click the Fonts button at the bottom left. In the dialog that pops up, check the colors of the different text items. Not much difference. The real question is: how did she (or someone else) change them in the first place?

As to what she did to mess it up is anyone's guess!  One last issue (I HOPE) is that she had a dock on top of her screen and then decided to remove it. That is OK, but her screen is still reserving that area and it is now blank and software like Firefox, etc will not go into that space. Every option she has tried to let an app use that space does not work. So, do you know where that setting is or did she break something else? Thank you so much for your help! |

Thank you so much for your help! my stab in the dark is that there could be an hidden or empty-invisible dock there? there is a list of all docks in docks &shelves tab of nexus properties http://prntscr.com/fknlfs and it tells you where each dock is docked and how many icons does it have |

Yeah, my guess would also be that instead of disabling or deleting the dock in Docks & Shelves tab of WorkShelf Preferences, she simply set it to fully transparent in the dock's own Properties dialog. |
