Jorge, Ever since Tuesday's batch of updates from Microsoft, I've had a problem with the sound associated with emptying the trash. This is reminiscent of a problem I reported almost six years ago. When I empty the trash, the sound gets clipped to just the opening portion of the sound, then it stops. It doesn't always happen, but often enough to bear reporting. I tried using a different sound but got the same results. Has anyone else noticed this? I'm currently running: •Windows 10 Pro Creator's Update with all of the latest patches installed •Nexus Ultimate 17.01.1064 |

Jorge, I was hoping you might have heard of someone else having a similar problem and might plan on doing something about it (assuming you are testing/compiling on the same version of Windows). I did run the following which came up clean: • sfc /scannow • Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth As usual, I'm the only person with my problem. Thanks, Grouch |

@Brandstetter, Indirectly, Yes. I had another problem of accidentally deleting a dock item when I meant to rename it. Jorge directed me to the following: Preferences/General/More Options/Recycler Settings/Display Confirmation Dialog Before Deleting. Voila! Killed two birds with one stone. By the way, one thing you guys should understand: the Winstep application *itself* is not responsible for the action of playing a sound. Basically all it does is say to Windows: here is the location of a sound file, please play it. It then turns its back and assumes Windows will perform the required task. So, if there are any issues at this stage, they will be on the realm of Windows, sound drivers, decoders, filters, etc... All things external to the Winstep application itself. |

Unless, if after telling it to play the sound, it tells it to do something else which overrides the playing of the sound . In any case, I try not to argue with success.
