Ok, so the problem in reality has nothing to do with how fast the dock auto-hides.
Another question: do you have the dock set to display running applications (i.e.; every time you launch an application not on the dock the dock shows a new icon)?

Is there a way to add a delay for the dock not to auto hide so quickly when the setting "Auto hide for maximized application" is turned on. Reason for question is, when i have an application on Maximize, when i click the icon of said application within the dock it does not minimize, the dock simply hides (because the setting is on) or at least have it not hide while my moue is focused on the dock at the time. |

But the dock ONLY hides again when you click on it, right? It does NOT hide if you hover the mouse over it, correct? |

It hides the moment I click on the icon, for example the browser, once i click on it, the dock hides, without minimizing the browser. In other words it does not let me minimize the browser when I click it it just hides the dock. |

Yes, I do have it to show running application. Basically if the selection of hide when an application is miximized, is on. Does not allow you to minimize the application when clicking the same app icon once the app is maximized, and I click to the icon to minimize it, it only hides the dock |
