Hey, a few problems with my nexus dock i cannot figure out (been using it for a few years now with annoying fixes) https://gyazo.com/6c97d725817b16182d937d58c70a64e2 my nexus dock as you can see in the screenshot, sometimes either goes behind my windows taskbar and to get it back up i usually have to relaunch workshelf, or sometimes it just disappears completely, can you help please |

Not sure I understand what you want. You want the dock to be *overlapping* the Windows taskbar and always on top of it, but sometimes it goes behind it? Or you want the dock to be *above* the Windows taskbar, but sometimes it drops down the screen and goes behind it? Also, why so many ? icons on your dock? What version are you running? |

Hey, thanks for replying I want the dock to appear when i bump the bottom (which is already setup), it should on top of the taskbar not behind it, if its behind it i cant click on it and it only clicks on the windows task bar theres a lot of nexus icons because those are sub folders, i would prefer if the icon was dynamic and showed whats inside those subfolders if thats possible also theres a lot of icons with a question mark because around 3 months ago i got a new computer, backed up all the settings and shortcuts and recovered it on a new computer, even though the url links to correct items the icons never refresh and maintains as question marks heres the version information: https://gyazo.com/a2feeba02f9591d4a448e6af97265a88 |

Tomas, the dock was NEVER meant to run *overlapping* the taskbar. You risk having z-order problems - as you are - if you try. You can, however, make it run *above* the taskbar, by making the taskbar reserve screen space and the dock respect reserved screen space. Unfortunately Nexus sub-dock icons are *not* dynamic, nor would it make much sense to make them dynamic because the contents of sub-docks are usually not images, videos or documents. You can still customize those sub-dock icons with static images of your choice. Also, you seem to be running v16.3 under Windows 10. I *strongly* advise you to upgrade to the latest version, there were *many* Windows 10 related additions to Winstep software after v16.3. |

ok that makes sence, i checked respect reserved space, should work better now is there a way to enable an individual dock to appear on all monitors connected? or in preferences > dock & shelves, theres a button locate position, is there a way to have that as a shortcut? so when i tap ctrl for example it brings up the dock, as i mentioned before, when i bump the bottom of the screen it doesnt appear for some reason at all (i assume workshelf crashed or maybe its displaying on another monitor for some reason)? thanks a lot |

You can already assign a hotkey to a dock which makes the dock pop-up when you press it: Dock Properties -> Behavior -> Activation Settings -> Hotkey |

great thanks ok regarding the icons being dynamic etc, so when i recorvered the backup of nexus from my old laptop to the new one, i changed my username from Tomas to Tom, which means some shortcuts were not recognised but when i change the url of the shortcut to the newly corrected one, the shortcut icon doesnt update and is left with a question mark, however, this is a bit odd, since for example i have an external hard drive with lots of projects, and lots of shortcuts from that hard drive on the nexus dock, and if i do not connect the hard drive, and boot up windows, nexus wont recognise the shortcut and display a ? icon, but when i connect it, they will all update and display the correct shortcut icon, so how come the new shortcuts that i have corrected the url for and it links correctly and runs when i click on it, the icon doesnt update for say: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office15\WINWORD.EXE surely it should update when i click on it as it does with windows explorer shortcuts within nexus? |

I'm not sure I understand what is going on there. To start with, could you please provide a screenshot showing an open Dock Item Properties dialog for one of the dock items displaying the question mark icon? |

https://gyazo.com/9f41ce1f8bc3e1c72078a522eecd5f26 Here you go, so in the subdock, i have outlook, word, and excel, with live URLs, and when i click on them it works, but the icon doesnt update however, shortcuts to windows folders, say an external hard drive, if i start my computer and the external hard drive isnt connected, the shortcuts will be dead and so is the icon, and would display a ? but as soon as i would connect the external harddrive and click on a nexus link to a shortcut that targets the external harddrive, the icon would update so im just wondering, how come windows explorer icons update when found but exe icons do not |

Ok, here is what you should do: clear the Icon Path field so it's blank. Now you should always get the correct icon. |
