How do I get the digital clock with the days under the time?

I see it in the forums but I do not know how to activate it. I choose (none) under themes and I do get the iOS looking digital clock.

That's intended for the clock in docks and the Shelf, mind you. The desktop version of the clock module is skinned by the current theme.

Anyway, the current digital style of the in-dock clock module displays a calendar, right? You right click on it, select 'Clock Settings' and in the Digital Clock section of the dialog that pops up enable 'Show time only'.

This said, if you have the theme of the desktop clock module set to 'None', then it will also display the iOS style.

Yes, Jorge. I have the iOS style module on my desktop. So, I can't have the days show under the time?

Seems a reboot did the trick. I now have the clock I want

It wasn't the reboot lol. Going to post here what I posted on the WC forums:

Uh-oh. You're not going to like this then: those two are *automatic* formats of the *same* clock.

Modules normally only have two styles, and in the case of the clock those styles are digital and analog. The original digital style - the one you get by default - was based on the NeXT OS dock clock from all those years ago, and also features a calendar so there isn't much room for the time itself.

This means that the actual time can be difficult to read at lower icons sizes, unless you mouse over the module to magnify the icon. So, because some users complained about that and also because we already have a separate calendar module (making the calendar in the clock a bit redundant) I decided to add an alternate digital version in v18.3.

Now, remember that the goal here was to maximize the readability of the time itself at lower icon sizes, so the bigger the digits, the better - but I also wanted something that was still nice to look at.

Under 24 hour format the hour always has two digits because of the leading zero, but under 12 hours format the hour only has one digit *most of the time*. With a single digit for the hour I could make the text bigger (and thus more readable) but with two digits I would have to lower the font size for the time to fit in the space available. So, for the 12 hour clock I basically decided to make two different versions of the same clock, one displayed when the hour only has 1 digit, the other displayed when the hour has two digits.

This way I achieved my goal of maximizing time readability at lower icon sizes (apparently at the price of confusing the users lol).

So, you're saying that as soon as I get to a 1 digit hour, it'll revert?

oh come on, man, you can do better......lol.

It will revert... as I wrote on WC, you got the clock you wanted not because you rebooted but because the hour changed lol

Jim, you're using as a desktop module a clock style that was intended to be used only in the dock/Shelf, where that format switching makes sense because the goal is to maximize readability of the time. You can, but... :)

As I work on a new release I usually write about the features I'm adding as I add them (see the 'What's new in vxx.xx threads' here). THEN is the time to give feedback so things can still be changed/fine tuned before the official release. :)

You weren't paying attention and this is what you get ehehehe
