I'm using Nexus-Ultimate v18.03.1091 on Win10 Pro 64-bit v1803. Whenever I Exit Nexus and then reopen it about half of the Dock Entry icons display as question mark icons, although the data the Dock Entries contain is still valid. The only way I've found to get the correct icons back is to reboot the system. The before and after screen shots are in the uploaded attachment. Is there a fix for this?

I just changed my preferences to "Enable Fast Boot" and the same icons are now missing even on a reboot. I changed it back and they icons again work on a boot, but the problem above still exists.

Ok, let me tell you this upfront: this is not a Nexus issue.

Looks like a corrupted icon cache. Also, do you run or did you ever run Stardock's IconPackager?

Finally, this only seems to affect some icons. Try to figure out what the items with the problem have in common (are they all UWP apps?) and get back to me.

Thanks Jorge,

Upon checking the icon paths for the various Dock Entries I found that those that were working correctly had either an empty path field or a full path to the shell32.dll file, that is, C:\Windows\System32\shell32.dll,number. The path field for all of those that were only working intermittently only contained shell32.dll,number with no path. When I added the path to those they started working correctly. I don't know why this is but at least I know how to fix it.

Ray
