The Enable Auto Hide option for a dock has been broken in the latest version installed yesterday (2nd June): Nexus Ultimate 18.05.1106, Winstep 18.03.0116. The option no longer auto hides the Dock, instead it brings up a properties window for the Start Menu icon.

Crap. Thanks for letting me know.

Pity nobody caught it during beta testing... and I actually have *no idea* how that could have happened. A '33' got changed to '34'.

I think this is actually a biggie... not exactly sure what to do now, if to issue a new version release or make it a silent update.

Some people REALLY hate it when updates are too frequent (even if that means a 2 month interval and despite the update process now being really quick and straightforward lol).

Apparently v18.5 also broke compatibility with Windows XP (1% of users out there) and Windows 2000 (0.01% of users out there) because of a function call I use from a new type library. I may have fixed that already, but will need to hear back from a user first, as I don't have a XP machine here anymore.

In the mean time I also fixed the 'Snap to default button' Windows feature that had stopped working with the application dialogs since I added the 'Dark' UI modes.

My vote is for a silent update as it is a hotfix to the recent version release - there is no new functionality, only fixes to existing functionality and who doesn't want hotfixes? :D

Ok, looks like I fixed the XP compatibility issue too. Actually had XP Mode installed here (a Microsoft Windows XP VM), so I installed the fixed version and didn't run into any errors.

Time for a silent update.

Actually, works absolutely perfectly from context menu and everything else here.

Oops, I goofed - on context menu, enable autohide does barf up a - dock entry properties window.

If you'd said something could have run it up on XP here to check - haven't set up my old version yet. (Still looking, I'm sure I had NS 3.x/WS2 but can't seem to find it, latest I've found so far is NS3.41/WS1.9.

Can't wait to really get stuck in on XP as it means I can deal with skinning the taskbar properly, and also I get to work with one of my fave Win GFX apps again, an ancient 16/32bit hybrid - Micrografx Picture Publisher, which still does a lot of things much faster and easier than anything else and has a few tricks up its sleeve not found elsewhere.

Ok, silent update is up.

For Nexus Ultimate, download from HERE.

For Winstep Xtreme, download from HERE.

For the free version of Nexus, download from HERE.

Exit all running Winstep applications, unzip and run setup. Version number will not change (still v18.5) only the build number.

LOL. You have to be, in this business.

I really have no idea how that 33 got changed to a 34 (made the menu entry go to a different function). Not something I changed deliberately, that's for sure! I blame the Gremlins.
