I have set the dock to auto hide. Whenever the dock show again, it will do the bounce effect, which during that time, pressing on any of the icon on the dock have no effect. I will have to wait until that bounce effect finish, then I can click on the icon on the dock to launch the app.

Anyway to solve that? Thanks.

The dock bounces only once, and that lasts less than a second. Can't really see how that is a problem, nor, as far as I'm aware, is there any way to disable it. (The same happens when a shelf is expanded from a collapsed state. Neither are a problem here.)

N.B. - I was mistaken there - it can indeed be disabled! (Don't know how I forgot about that one.)

Go to Dock Properties -> Behaviour Tab -> Auto-Hide Settings, and under Animation, tick the 'Disable Final Boing Effect' box. And it shall bother you no more. :)
