Hi guys! I have just taken the big step of abondoning ship from Objectdock..... I have bought the Ultimate Home Network edition and am starting to set things up as I like.... I am used to having shutdown and restart icons on my dock and they have been in the past setup using own arguments and start in....commands... They are greyed out in the icons added to the dock....can I make changes...don't want a popup message asking if I want to really turn off Windows... Any help will be greatly appreciated! bookie56 |

Please check out Nexus comprehensive list of over 80 (!) internal commands HERE. What you want is the 'Quick Shutdown Windows' and 'Quick Restart Windows' internal commands, so you won't be asked for confirmation. May I ask what you mean above by 'They are greyed out in the icons added to the dock' ? Perhaps a screenshot would help me understand better. |

Here is what I meant by greyed out.... And thanks for the info Attachment: BTW I know you have added the links as already coded.... But if someone wants extra work you can add a new item and then arguments etc and you have the same result.... bookie56 |

Internal commands generally do not have arguments, they're not applications. Exactly what are you trying to accomplish? If you want that icon in the dock to Restart Windows without asking for confirmation, change the Command combo box in that dialog from 'Restart Windows' to 'Quick Restart Windows'. |

Hi again No not in Nexus....but this is the way how we did it on objectdock... For example you can add a new item and then add the right parameters for the shutdown button. Attachment: bookie56 |

Ok, and obviously you can do the same thing in Nexus by running shutdown.exe like you did there. However, not many users need (or even know how) to specify a time-out period before shutdown, so for them using the internal command is a lot easier. |
