I would like to try and create something similar to objectdocks stackdocklet....
In short I want to have a link to several files or programs....
I sent you some pics but here is what I am looking for....but I do understand this isn't objectdock but use that as a guide so we understand each other.....God I am lost already....lol

Hi oOSGearOo
OK I understand but something must be able to link to several things at once...?

Ok, as I mentioned when we first started talking by email, for now you can use sub-docks (right click on the dock -> insert new dock item -> Sub-Dock).

You can then populate the sub-dock by dragging items over the sub-dock icon in the main dock, holding for a second until the empty sub-dock automatically opens, and then dropping the items into the sub-dock.

This will be similar to Stacks in fan mode.

As for Stacks in grid mode, you will have to wait for the next release, as I also mentioned previously. In the mean time, I strongly advise you to start looking into the functionality of the Shelf (tabbed dock) in Nexus Ultimate: unlike tabbed docks in OD, the Shelf can have tabs showing the contents of whole folders in your hard drive (it also supports many other tab types), which you can then manipulate via drag & drop as usual.

I also suggest you look at the new Drawers (Preferences -> Docks & Shelves -> Create New Drawer).

I can't find where to have sub-docks "Always horizontal"?

Right click any icon in the dock (or click the main Nexus icon) -> Nexus -> Dock Properties -> Behavior -> Sub-Docks

It's called a 'Shelf'.

Preferences -> Docks & Shelves -> disable the Shelf.

Otherwise just right click on it -> Shelf -> Dock & Shelf Management -> Disable Shelf

If you don't use the Shelf you will be missing out on one of the best things of Nexus Ultimate before you even understand how powerful and helpful it really is.

Just so you know.

Not at this time. I wish I had time to make explanatory videos, but I have to chose between that and actually implementing stuff.

Comb the Winstep web site, then make a backup of your current configuration (Preferences -> Advanced -> Backup) and start browsing and playing with the different settings.

For many, that is actually the fun part. :)

Also, check out release announcements on Older News in the Winstep web site, they usually go into detail (with screenshots) of features as they were implemented.

Hi again!
Very good service here....I think I will hang around....

OK I will do as you say...

You are going to say boring but I have setup my desktop as follows at the moment with similar icons as before....

I have a load of drawers on the left side of the screen....of course if I like the shelf and can get it setup how I want I will not need the drawers...

This is an example:
