Since the last update the Taskbar pops up from autohide every few minutes and briefly steals focus. Unfortunately, if the left mouse button is clicked such as for scrolling a page or panning a map, the steal becomes permanent and I have to click back into the original program, very aggravating. What settings may have changed, I didn't touch anything, that may have caused this issue? |

By "taskbar" you mean the dock? |

Yes, the one with the Quick Launch, Task List, Sys Tray, etc. |

Errr... still not sure if you are talking about the dock or the NextSTART taskbar in Winstep Xtreme (hey, you started this by calling a dock a taskbar, lol!). The taskbar has a section specifically called 'quick launch', the dock does not (it just holds shortcuts) and *both* can show running applications as well as the systray. Can you please post a screenshot of your desktop showing the object in question (and pointing to it)? Just to avoid wasting your time and mine talking about Apples when we really should be talking Oranges (or vice-versa). |

Lifferds wrote: My apologies, I am certain it is the NextSTART taskbar in Winstep Xtreme. See attached. Alright, now we're talking. Glad I asked, because a taskbar is not a dock. AFAIK, I didn't change anything related to the taskbar code in the last release. This said, the taskbar will pop out of auto-hide if an application starts flashing for attention OR if you bump the screen edge the taskbar is docked to with the mouse pointer. Which of the two do you think is happening there? |

Something else for you to try: NextSTART Preferences -> Taskbar -> Taskbar Settings -> Advanced -> disable the 'Bring taskbar forward when the mouse pointer bumps screen edge' |

Definitely not bumping the screen edge, but I was wondering if sys tray notifications will cause it to come forward. I suspect that might be the culprit, though it seems like a lot of notifications. Will fuss around with advanced settings. Thanks, Tom |

Finally figured it out. The NextSTART taskbar would pop up every time my wallpaper changer would cycle in another background. Made some tweaks to it and, voila, no more problem. |

Well, glad you figured out what was causing the issue. This said, strange that the 3rd party application would cause the taskbar to re-appear simply by changing the wallpaper - wonder what else it's doing. |
