Bigger, larger, better! Now seriously, latest official or latest beta? What version were you running before? Also: open WorkShelf Preferences -> General Tab -> More Options. What is the menu scaling set to? And finally: what is your Windows screen DPI scaling set to? |

This version is 18.10 from whatever the last one was??? The menus are scaled at 100% Windows dpi is 150, but has been all along. I tried it with it reduced. The desktop changed but the menus were just as big. |

That would be important to know, since support for high DPI displays was added around v15.9 (which made menus automatically adjust their size according to screen DPI). But I don't think you were running a version THAT old? How did you update? Via the Winstep Update Manager? If so, go to C:\Users\Public\Documents\WinStep\Backup You should find back up copies of nextstart.exe and workshelf.exe there. Right click, select Properties and in details check the file version number. Also, in the same dialog I mentioned above, there is an option to 'Disable menu scaling on high DPI settings'. Does enabling that setting make the menus be the size you expected them to be before? A screenshot of what you are seeing would probably be useful too. |

gillon wrote: Checking or unchecking DPI settings makes no difference. Oh great, that's the problem right there. When I introduced manual menu scaling in v18.10 I also accidentally added a bug that prevented screen DPI scaling from being disabled. You must have had it previously disabled, and since disabling it no longer does anything, those menus now appear scaled up by 150%. When you tried reducing the screen DPI and the menus stayed the same size despite this, it's because the system had to be rebooted first for the new DPI settings to take effect on the Winstep application, EVEN if you restart it after changing screen DPI (you can blame Windows for this). I just fixed it here, but you must wait a day or so for the next public beta of v18.11 (the current beta does not fix this issue, obviously). I'll post here when the new beta has been released so you get a forum reply notification. |

New beta is out. Make sure 'Notify me of beta (test) versions' in the Advanced tab of Preferences is enabled and then click the 'Check for Updates' button. Please let me know if that fixes the issue with the menus. |
