Why does 'Shift A' launch the dock?

Post subject:  Why does 'Shift A' launch the dock?

Been through the options and cannot find one that mentions keyboard control??

Because you set it to activate the dock but now you no longer remember how you did it? :wink:

And by the way, you mean *activate* and not *launch*, right? Very different things. :)

Anyway, the settings are exactly where they should be: Dock Properties -> Behavior tab -> Activation Settings -> Hot key.

If you have the dock control icon visible in the dock (the icon that says Nexus) you can also right click the icon, select Dock Entry Properties from the context menu that pops up and change the hotkey from there as well.

Launch vs activate. It looks very like a launch to me.

Eheh. Launch is normally used for when you are 'launching' an application (which is previously not running). The dock is already running when hidden, so you're basically just 'activating' (showing) it.

Just pointed this out because it's very easy to get everyone confused when using different terminologies. :)
