Hello all,

I migrated from Rocketdock to Nexus recently. On Rocketdock, I had a dock setup that mimicked the Windows8/10 Metro look. I completely duplicated, except two details:

1. For some reason, on Nexus, the minimum icon spacing is 1 pixel instead of 0 pixels. So my metro icons have a 1 pixel gap between them which doesn't look right.

2. The separator object on Nexus is 1 icon wide, which is very wide.

You can check the attached pics, one with RocketDock and one with Nexus with spacing between every icon and huge spaces between groups of icons.

Is there a way to customise these spaces to be smaller? (space between icons and separator width).

BTW, I tried to use a custom PNG as the icon for the separator but even though I used a 128x256 icon, the separator still displays as square size (i.e. 256x256), so that doesn't solve the issue.

Any ideas would be appreciated! Thanks!

Nexus uses a magnify algorithm that is different from the one used by RocketDock. As such, all icons must be the same size, regardless of being a separator or not.

Also, separators in Nexus double up internally as sub-dock placeholders (RocketDock does not support sub-docks, as you know), and you can use any icon/image to customize them, like you would any other item in the dock.

Basically there is nothing you can do since this is something that goes all the way back to when Nexus was first coded and cannot be changed now without a TON of hard work (for very little return at this point).

What theme did you use in Nexus to get this icon-layout?

I would like to reduce the size of separator too.

Not going to happen - RFM, or in this case, the reply by the developer further up.
