Right now I have the taskbar docked to the bottom of my screen. Whenever I go to play a game, I click the little bar on the very far right to collapse it. But nearly every time at some point during a game, my invisible mouse cursor hits the little bar on the far bottom left and opens the taskbar again, making it very difficult to play. Normally with the Windows taskbar, when you fullscreen a program, the taskbar goes away so you don't click on it while playing, but it comes right back as soon as you alt tab or click on another monitor. But with the Winstep Xtreme taskbar, either you have the little bar that ends up getting clicked and disrupting your game, or you make it so it hides behind fullscreen windows in the settings, but then you can't bring it back without going to desktop. Hell, even being able to press the "Windows" button to be able to toggle the taskbar would be nice. So is there a way to give a hotkey to toggle on/off the taskbar, or is there a way to make it disappear completely for a fullscreen window but reappear if you alt tab/click on another monitor? |

All edge bump activation methods are automatically disabled whenever a full screen application is running, exactly to prevent the sort of thing you are describing. The fact that you are collapsing the Xtreme/NextSTART taskbar before launching a game makes me think you are NOT running the game in full screen but in a window/maximized window? Also, open NextSTART Preferences, go to the Taskbar tab, click the Taskbar Settings button, click the Advanced button and check the options at the bottom of the dialog that pops up, those might help. |

As two different options. Some even have a third "windowed" option. But, "Full-screen, windowed" seems like an oxymoron. It would have been better if it said, "Maximized window". |

Sorry, yes, I believe when I say fullscreen I'm actually saying "fullscreen windowed", because I need to be able to click on my second monitor and alt tab without the window collapsing. I've checked the advanced taskbar settings and I didn't see anything to help with what I'm looking for. It would be great if there was just a quick hotkey to make the taskbar disappear/reappear, or even just pressing the Windows button. |
