Hi, I'm an Italian user.

Since there are issues with the feeds of the weather module because the weather.com and msn.com services have been deprecated or do not work properly, I was wondering if it was possible to change the basic or advanced settings of the module, in order to replace strings and url sources.

The Weather.com code and url that work with my location are as follows:

Code:
https://weather.com/it-IT/tempo/oggi/l/ITCM2054:1:IT

Code:
https://weather.com/it-IT/tempo/oggi/l/dc263e4a643f80d341196421fa79fa8c37a137ce5bbf72c17575950e92e4e18e

With MSN, instead, the url of my position is the following:

Code:
https://www.msn.com/it-it/meteo/oggi/teverolacampaniaitalia/we-city?q=teverola-campania&form=PRWLAS&iso=IT&el=yVIzYFGoh3DNimo3iT0Kaw%3d%3d

What can be done to solve the problem?
Let me know, thanks.

First, MSN is actually the last feed that remains working (and the METAR NOAA feed, but that is for current conditions only).

Second, you seem to be under the impression that weather info is 'scrapped' off a web page, and that is not the case at all - rather the info is taken from a fixed format XML or METAR feed. Scrapping info of web pages would leave the Winstep application at the mercy of Weather.com web designers and any random web site changes (which happen very frequently).

Neither the Rainmeter developers (for instance) nor Winstep want to become subject to the whims of Weather.com web designers (e.g.; having to update the application every time the Weather.com website changes a comma) because of what is but a very small part of a much larger application.

If the MSN feed eventually goes down as well, then a decision will have to be made regarding the continued feasibility of a weather module (or not).

Ok, thank you for the response. I understand.

Actually, my issue is regarding my location and the language (it's English instead of Italian). About the language, maybe there is a workaround to change the MSN current advanced settings of the Winstep weather module?

Code:
URL MSN source #1
http://weather.service.msn.com/data.aspx?src=vista&weadegreetype=%2&culture=en-US&wealocations=wc:%1

Code:
URL MSN source #2
http://weather.service.msn.com/data.aspx?src=vista&weadegreetype=%2&culture=en-US&weasearchstr=%1

Thanks.
