The start menu and system tray menu appear above the taskbar which makes things look not very nice at all...

I'm not sure if this is a bug or if it's not possible to display over the start menu, etc. but if there's a way of avoiding this, I would be very grateful. Amazing application.

The Start Menu belongs to Windows. It also happens to be always on top, and since two objects cannot occupy the same exact position at the same time, you get a conflict.

Only one of them can be on top at a certain time.

It's like if you set two docks to both be 'always on top': even though both docks will always be above other normal z-order windows, in relation to each other there is always going to be one that will be on top of the other.

'Always on top' here simply means 'always on top of other, normal, windows' not 'always fully visible come rain or sunshine until hell freezes over'. :)

Hope it makes sense to you.

Hiya, thanks for the information. So there's no way to change that and give priority to Nexus? I noticed that you have a Start Menu application so would that be an alternative or is it a different application to what I think it is?

You mean the NextSTART component of Winstep Xtreme? Yes, that can be an alternative as it gives you more control over what goes where (and also how everything looks). Menus in NextSTART are fully configurable in terms of look and content, etc...

Winstep Xtreme has a free 30 day trial, so assuming you are still running the free version of Nexus you can give it a try if you want.
