After my purchase (NEXUS ULTIMATE) I cannot register through the file (nexus.wsxkey) provided via email. (invalid, corrupt or missing key - see picture)
HOW CAN I PROCEED TO REGISTER?

Apologies for the late reply, was out of the office.

I removed the picture of the invoice to protect your privacy, and merged the two topics together.

I asked BMT Micro to refund your Winstep Xtreme order.

As for the Nexus Ultimate license key, did you register Nexus Ultimate as instructed in the email with the Nexus Ultimate license key? A key for Xtreme will not work on Ultimate and vice-versa.

Likewise, in that same email there are instructions for troubleshooting issues with registration. Have you followed them already?

If so, can you please post a screenshot of the contents of your Winstep\Licenses\ folder (open Preferences, go to the Register tab and click the Open Folder button) ?

Answer: yes I faithfully followed the instructions and try to install the nexus key clicking two times on downloaded file, but not the winstep extreme key. two distincts emails.

Answer: Sure. it will displayed here. first try: nothing happens (and not registered), second try: corrupt key like posted previously.

I know it sounds weird, but bare with me: was the version of Nexus Ultimate you are running downloaded directly from the link in the email with your license key, or did you download it from somewhere else?

Also, how did you get to have a 'Nexus2.key' file inside the licenses folder? I don't think that is possible without manual intervention. Furthermore, since Windows hides known file extensions by default, are you sure the file hasn't been renamed to Nexus.key.key (with the second .key not being visible) ?

Finally, what happens if you delete both key files from the Licenses folder and then *double click* the original .wsxkey file that was on the email? Do you get that 'invalid key' dialog?

So, I'll be brief, as I only have 20 days to finally register my product.
My version is 19.2.
Yes, I installed the link sent by email by the official website. I did what I was suggested. I deleted all the keys and ran the key.
Still same message occurs and remains unregistered.
By the way, my windows explorer is set to display file extensions.
Follow-up attachments will be emailed because this is a serious issue as all images appear "large" to this site even after scaling down, which compromises quality.
Please, let's solve this case.

Man, I uninstalled my bitdefender and malwarefox, cleaned the windows registry completely with ccleaner, updated the entire operating system, rebooted, installed nexus from the email sent with the new key. I tried to register again but error still persists. As a last try, before giving up on this wonderful program, I will do a CLEAN installation of my windows 10 and start from ground zero. I will use the days I do not have. This really is desperate.

There is always a valid explanation for a key not being recognized.

The guilty must be the operating system. a zero installation may resolve. I need some time.

No reason why it would be the OS.

Do me a favor: go to the Licenses folder again and send me the .key file inside by email, please, so I can have a look at it here. You should probably put it inside a zip file first though.

Plot thickens.

I just tried your license key here, there is nothing wrong with it and it works perfectly.

Whatever is happening there, I am sure there is a logical explanation, of course. :) So, two questions:

1. When you open Nexus Ultimate Preferences, do you still see the Register tab? Or has it disappeared now and your name is shown at the bottom of the About tab?

2. When you re-installed Nexus Ultimate from the link in the email, did you *uninstall* the previous installation before doing that or did you install it on top of what was already there? I'm asking this because installers don't overwrite files they think are newer, so you might still be running the old executable. 'Modified' program files have trouble working with legit keys.

One more thing for you to try: go to the Advanced tab in Preferences and enable the 'Notify me of beta (test) versions' option, then click the Check for Updates button. It should find the v19.4 beta - allow that to download and install and see if v19.4 automatically self-registers upon running.
