After a clean reinstalled windows 10 pro 1909, i install Winstep Nexus that went oke. Then i want to activate it with the licence ultimate key for Nexus Ultimate. But when i dubble click on the keyfile the microsoft windows store pops up only by 1 mouseclick to look for a app to install for that keyfile dont know what to select. And what i do ms windows store keeps popping up and it searches for a other app to open that keyfile. What can i do to make it work? How can i pass this so i can install that licence ultimate key for Nexus. |

In the email with your license key there are some troubleshooting steps. Have you tried following those already? Also, Windows 10 now allows a file extension to be associated with more than one application (great for provoking all kinds of havoc, lol). If you right click on the .wsxkey file and select 'Open With', do you see the 'Winstep License Key Manager' as an option? |

No i dont see that'Winstep License Key Manager'in open with; and i dont see it in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Winstep directory. |

That would be 'winstep.exe', kind of a multi-purpose applet. Open Nexus Ultimate Preferences, go to the Advanced tab, click the Troubleshooting Options button, click Restore File Associations. Now did the license key icon change to a W (Winstep) icon and/or do you see 'Winstep License Key Manager' in the right click Open With? Also, make sure the license key file extension is .wsxkey and not .key. |

I have now several times uninstall Winstep Nexus 19.2 and install it but still cant click the keyfile to make it the Ultimate version of it, and the keyfile stay as a blanco icon. But when i install Winstep Xtreme 19.2 the keyfile icoon turn in a winstep icon and when i click on it it react but it say wrong keyfile version. So what is missing in the NexusSetup what the XtremeSetup have? to make the keyfile active? |

Sounds like you are trying to install the free version of Nexus instead of Nexus Ultimate. Unlike what happens with Winstep Xtreme, the license key does NOT turn the free version of Nexus into Nexus Ultimate, they are separate downloads. In the email with your Nexus Ultimate license key there is a link to where you can download the latest version of Nexus Ultimate. Please download Nexus Ultimate from that link, install it (make sure it says Nexus Ultimate in the About tab of Preferences) and THEN try to apply the key file (it should have turned into a Winstep icon too). |

Problem solved, with that download link for UltimateSetup file i could click the keyfile and it worked. Thanks for the help |
