Ah the joys of Windows 10 lol

What happens if you go to the Sounds tab in Preferences and click the 'Test Voice' button there? Also, did you make any other changes?

That works fine. I can also right click the clock and "Say the Time" works fine, also.

Just to let you know: Winstep is announcing emails but not the time. Also, I'm not showing the new update. Thanks.

To get the new beta you must go to the Advanced tab of Preferences and enable the 'Notify me of beta (test) versions'.

As for the clock voice, right click the clock module, select 'Clock Settings'.

Check how often the time is set to be announced and also the type of announcement (must be set to 'Talking clock')

It was always set to "every hour" and "talking".

Try setting to 'every minute' and see what happens.

"Every minute" does work but "every hour" still does not.

If every minute works then every hour must too. Here is what I think is happening: the sound is playing, but your speakers are 'sleeping' when it does (.e.; they enter some kind of power saving mode after x minutes, less than an hour) and they take a long time to 'wake up'. By the time they do, the sound has already stopped playing.

When it comes close to the hour, leave some soft low volume music playing in the background, then wait to see if you hear the time announcement over the music or not.

I have always had music playing. It has to be a Windows 10 thing. Never had this problem before I "updated".

Hello. I have the same problem. At some point, the clock stopped talking time, spoke every hour before. Forced to say button also silent. In the sound settings, Check voice does not work either. It was version 19.2, it was not updated as far as I remember, but there were windows 10 updates. I installed the Xtreme version, it is also silent.

Would an uninstall and re-install work?

He has a different problem, for him sound does not work at all. Could be a lot of things.

Redisko, what happens if you go to the Sounds tab in Preferences. select the Clock Chime event, and then press Test Sound. Does that already play?

I don't know, but I don't think so... Are you sure you aren't testing during the Silent Period (Sounds tab in Preferences) ?

Hello. Check Voice Button? No, it does not work. I installed the latest version 19.2 on a working computer, there is also Windows 10, another edition, it does not work there either. Why are the Female Voice.wsv and Male Voice.wsv files in the voice folders? In them in the parameter "ClockVoiceFolder" some strange ways are registered. Moreover, for male and female voices are different, and do not at all coincide with the actual location of the files. If you change these paths to the correct ones, this also does not help.
