Jd.

Alo JD!

Apologies but I will have to reply in English, my high school French is rusty as it hasn't been used in a long time. :)

Winstep applications are 'normal' applications in that they do not interfere with 3rd party applications or even with the Windows system itself (other than, for example, hiding the Windows taskbar or the desktop icons on demand).

Your description of what is happening intrigued me. Assuming I am imagining it right, it sounds more like an hardware issue than anything else (either GPU or monitor related). And the proof that it is not Winstep related is that, according to you, it happens even if Winstep is not installed.

Can this 'ghost effect' be captured into a screenshot (i.e.; by using Winstep's built-in Capture Desktop internal command to save an image of the desktop in JPG format or by pressing PRTSCR and pasting the contents of the clipboard to a paint application) ? My guess is that it can't (thus again pointing to an hardware issue) but, if so, can you please post a screenshot here?

Merci,

Hello Jorge,

AS requested, attached some pics of damaged screen (Winstep uninstalled, Win10 Pro reset, echoes still on screen).

HP head quarters do not seems to assume a third repair.
I will ask for a total refund, but it does not seems to be so easy... (and waranty closing in some weeks.

THank you for advice.

Regards.

JD34.

Yep, despite being hard to see given their small size, that definitely looks like a hardware problem with your display OR video card - it actually looks like screen burn-in.

And you say HP is trying to blame software for THAT?! lol

Don't let them get away with it.
