Hey, ive been using Nexus for about a month now and just got money to pay for the app, since i really like it.

However, i've noticed that i'm unable to add normal shortcuts on the Dock option itself (Drawer and Shelf options works fine, tho).

I try to move my shortcuts from the desktop to the dock, but all i get is this error icon:

Any clues/ideas to how to fix it? I suppose i can make a shelf out of them, but would rather use a normal dock for them if possible :P

Click on the Nexus icon to open the Dock Properties dialog for that dock, go to the Behavior tab and make sure 'Lock icons...' at the bottom is NOT checked.

Also, it should not make a difference, but you are trying to copy 45 different shortcuts at once? What happens if you try dragging and dropping only one item at a time?

Finally, are you sure you are not running the application with admin privileges (e.g.; the dock would give you a UAC prompt at the beginning and a warning dialog). This would prevent drag & drop operations coming from lower privilege applications due to the Windows UIPI (User Interface Privilege Isolation).

Ok, unlocking the icons fixed it. Which is weird to have as default on the dock itself, but not the shielf or drawer options.
And yeah, it made no difference if i did just one or all the icons.

But the reason i was confused was because they where locked by default in the dock mode, while the other 2 wasnt.

Thx for the quick answer tho

They are NOT locked by default.

You must have **accidentally** locked them, either in the Properties dialog(s) or in the right click context menu(s). Also, that setting is GLOBAL as illustrated by the little world symbol next to it, i.e.; it affects ALL docks, Shelves, Drawers and Grid Stacks.

It does NOT affect folder-type Drawers, Shelf tabs or Grid-Stacks though, since those are basically folders (or more precisely, 'view ports' into real or virtual folders) you are still allowed to drag & drop items to and from them.

Well, in that case, the settings must have been slightly confused when i did the upgrade from normal nexus to ultimate, cus it was 100% locked on the Dock mode only (even tho the option said it was unlocked), which was the only mode i used back when i was using the free version (and that was locked).

Anyway, works fine now, was just some slight hickup. Can add shortcuts normally now again.
