Why we can't add an glassy aero effect to the dock? A lot of apps already have the blur effect but no nexus dock...it has that effect on righ click on dock icon but not dock itself. Why?

I know that it should be rectangle without rounded edges but we should have it at least.

Thanks!

The Blur Settings dialog already explains the problem, so as not to unnecessarily repeat myself, please READ THIS.

As I said, the APIs have been deprecated, it does not work unless you install the third party AeroGlass utility. And even then I don't know if that has been kept up to date by the author.

Just to make it less challenging for people to find, here's the website: http://www.glass8.eu/

Also, since I don't use it, I thought I would look at the forums. The last two updates to Windows 10 changed something that breaks "Aero Glass for Win8+". (I'm referring to the update that came out this month and last month, I guess.)

So, for right now, it doesn't work. He's at version 1.5.13 right now and I suspect his fixed version will be 1.5.14. The users on the forum seem pretty confident he'll have it fixed shortly. His most recent post was April 2nd, so it seems like he's active.

Thanks, Ric! :)

Personally I don't like linking to it directly because his method actually changes the OS, IIRC, and that can lead to multiple problems. Plus I tried it once and it was a lot slower than the original Aero in Win7.
