I have dual monitors, and rather a lot of items in the dock. I'd like the dock to extend across both monitors (not separate docks), so that the icons are a little larger. Is there any way to accomplish this?

Nope, sorry.

A dock is supposed to be a repository for a relatively small number of quick launch items, and not to hold everything plus the kitchen sink. In the latter case it is best to use menus, shelves, or other type of objects that are better suited to holding a large number of items.

Assuming you are not running the free version, you can instead try organizing/categorizing the items in your dock into either sub-docks or grid stacks.

Can i put two docks in place, one on each monitor?

Yes if you are running one of the paid versions (either Nexus Ultimate or Winstep Xtreme) which support multiple docks, sub-docks, grid stacks, shelves, drawers, etc.

The free version of Nexus only supports a single dock.
