I'm pretty sure when I first installed Xtreme, the shelf at the bottom was positioned right above the taskbar. Now it covers the taskbar completely and I can't figure out how to change it. If there is even a way.

Thanks.

Well,it doesn't just move by itself - you must have changed the settings. If you can't drag the shelf to wherever you want it, go to the shelf's context menu and select 'Shelf Properties', Select the 'Position' tab and deselect the first option ('Dock to screen edge'). Then drag the shelf into the position you want and adjust the settings accordingly.

Bit of experimentation and consulting the guides on the website will get you there. :)

Yes, I realize I must have changed something, I just wasn't sure what or how. But I figured it out. I'm good now. Thanks and such.

FYI, Winstep can change even though you didn't tamper with the settings. For example, an update from Nvidia can screw up your settings. It can change the scale size of the modules and move them to the point that you can't find them. So, it's not surprising that something got moved around.

If I have to update something that's related to the PC's graphics, I turn off Winstep before updating it to avoid that happening. That's the only way to be sure that a graphics update doesn't screw up the arrangement of your setup.

Thanks Windy, useful to know. Never had anything like that here, touch wood. Very nasty business and badly written drivers/driver installer then.

Another example of how shite the whole Windows thing is really.

Yet another example is the whole update thing. Annoying most need a long restart process, annoying you don't have a choice but have to have them. macOS is no better and spies even more than Windows. Ah for the elegant simplicity of Linux! Lets me choose which updates to have and which to put off till the cows come home if I'm so inclined, and only Ubuntu needs a -quick! - restart only when new kernel updates have been installed, Fedora etc. don't need a restart even then.

Oh, and Win10 20H sucks great big dung beetle rocks since that's gone on a couple of weeks ago or so. still more memory use, more wasted disk space, slower still than before. Got a complete re-install coming up sometime soon, and this time it'll be in a VM under Linux only.
