Hi!
I've searched about this and couldn't make it stop taking focus from other windows.
I've got the dock hidden on the left side of the screen.
When I bump the side of the screen the dock shows up but takes away the focus from the current window.
I've disabled grab focus when activated but that didn't help.
Is there anything else I can do?
Thank you!

This seems to be connected to keyboard input, as the dock takes focus in order to be able to use keyboard input.
Any way to disable keyboard input?

There are some cool (and not-so-cool) third-party utilities out there that automatically put focus on any window your mouse moves over. X-Mouse is one such program:

Is it possible you have a utility like that installed?

Hi DesertDwarf!
You're completely right, I've got x-mouse button control installed.
I've checked the options of x-mouse and couldn't find the one where it would follow mouse with the focus.
I've then shut down x-mouse but the issue still remains, so it seems that's not it.

I've now disabled all of the programs that are in the taskbar (next to the clock) along with anything else that might be running (but not needed) and it's still happening.
I've also checked my Ease Of Access Center mouse settings and activate a window by hovering over it with a mouse is disabled.

What happens if you change the settings so the dock isn't hidden? Does it still incorrectly take the focus away after you bump the edge?

If the dock is not hidden it does not take the focus while either bumping the edge or hovering the mouse over it.

That sounds like the dock(s) are corrupted.

Delete all docks that are posing a problem and redo them. Let us know if that solves the problem.

I've uninstalled the nexus dock completely.
Installed a fresh version and the initial dock that's available exhibits the same behavior.
I've made sure all the settings that might steal focus are disabled, but it's still happening.

Try this and see if it works. There are few options you can try on this page.

Thanks for the tip, I'll check it out.
One thing I forgot to mention, which I now realize might be important, is that the focus is returned back to the window after the dock hides again.

So the focus goes to the dock when it becomes visible (due to mouse bumping the edge) and then when mouse moves way from the dock and the dock hides the focus goes back to the window.

If you get the chance, please post all of your settings under the Behavior tab. Especially Auto-Hide Settings and Activation Settings.

That way, we can match your settings exactly to see if there's something we're missing.

BTW, I'm using Xtreme, so I don't know if you have all of the same settings I do if you're using Nexus or the free version.

Well, I've tried everything to make a window lose focus. I even played around with the settings under the Position tab.

To make sure I understand what the problem is. Are you saying that a window minimizes after an edge bump? Then goes back after the dock hides?

If this is the case, the next thing to do is to change the keyboard and see if it still does it. It's possible the keyboard is bad or you accidentally enabled something on the keyboard that's making it do that.

Just to be sure, change the mouse too. If that doesn't solve the problem, the next option is to try to use the options in the link I posted earlier.

Oh BTW, are you using the Winstep taskbar? I use the Windows taskbar because I have a third-party app for the clock. Unfortunately, they cannot work properly when they're both enabled.

However, I enabled the Winstep taskbar and still couldn't get a window to lose focus.
