I would like to lock the settings of the dock for the user. so he cannot right-click and do something on it.
is this possible smh?

I think disabling the right-click alltogether will be what I need, but I can't find this yet.

Neither the title of your post nor its text are very precise. Please study the guidelines carefully and observe them closely in future.

However, to answer your query - the right click functionality cannot be disabled and that indeed is only right and proper and how it should be.

Oops, I just remembered, my mistake. You can disable the context menus. I cannot run Winstep temporarily as I have to re-install Windows so currently can only run my main OS, so this is as best as I can remember.

Open 'Dock Properties' from the dock control icon. There is a 'Behaviour' tab, go to this. Somewhere on that page is an item called 'Context Menus' with a question something like 'Enable full right-click context menus?' . This will have drop-down options beside it, one of which should be 'No', or 'Never'. Select that and Bob's your uncle. :)

Aw, shame. AFAIK that's the only thing to be done. Maybe Jorge can shed more light on this.

Have a great week too. :)

Hey Root!

Sorry, it actually is not possible.

Winstep used to have a 'Corporate' version of the software where settings could only be accessed via password and were otherwise locked to the user (perfect for Kiosks, Internet Caffés, etc), but alas it is no longer supported at this time.

that would have been an Option.. thx for the clarification.
I'm actually trying to setup something for inside-guacamole (with RDP) when launching remote-apps so they won't disappear when I minimize them.
