I have installed Nexus version 20.10 on Win10 Pro and configured Alarm in the dock. But it stopped playing sound during LCD display even though each alarm is set to a .wav file. When the LCD is displayed, a disabled speaker appears in the lower left corner. Can anybody help me?

When you Edit the Alarm in the Alarms tab of the Alarm Manager window, is the 'Play' button for that alarm grayed out? What happens when you click on it, can you hear the sound?

Also, when you press the Arrow above the Play button to get more settings, what is the Volume set to? Is the 'Use Wake-up settings' option checked? If so, check the settings in the Wake-up tab of the Alarm Manager.

Finally, in the Audio tab of the Alarm Manager, what is 'Kill audio after' set to?

Hi Jorge,

Thanks for your help.

When you Edit the Alarm in the Alarms tab of the Alarm Manager window, is the 'Play' button for that alarm grayed out? What happens when you click on it, can you hear the sound?
R.: The "Play" button is not grayed out, but when I click on it, the text changes to "Stop" and I don't hear anything, until the text goes back to "Play"

Also, when you press the Arrow above the Play button to get more settings, what is the Volume set to?
R.: Volume = 100%, Brightness = 100% and Nap = 5 minutes

Is the 'Use Wake-up settings' option checked?
R.: Yes

If so, check the settings in the Wake-up tab of the Alarm Manager.
R.: Volume Inicial = 50%, Volume final = 100%, Tempo do volume inicial ao final = 1 minuto

Finally, in the Audio tab of the Alarm Manager, what is 'Kill audio after' set to?
R.: I couldn't find this option on the Audio tab of my version.

Do you speak Portuguese? I'm from Brazil and I would make it easy, lol

Bingo!!!

That was exactly what was happening. Winstep Media Player was disabled in Mixer.

Thanks for your help.

You saved my life, hahahaha

Olá! Tudo bem? :D

That explains not hearing anything (but you must have disabled it manually) but not the volume icon being grayed out in the alarm above. Glad Seeker suggested checking the Winstep Media Player, I was more focused on the settings.

Anyway, all is well when it ends well ehehe
