Hello everyone.

Updated to Windows 11 and now I'm missing the WiFi and Sound icons on my taskbar. Could anyone help with the steps needed to get these back? I'm not very computer literate, so any guidance will be appreciated. Using Version 20.10

Thanks.

P.S. the area I am referring to is called the Taskbar Corner Overflow on Windows 11. These icons used to appear here and now they don't.

This has already been covered in another thread. Do a search of the forum with keywords Windows 11 icons (names of icons).

Yes, it's been covered.

As far as I know that seems to be the only issue with Winstep software and Windows 11 as of right now. Microsoft in their infinite wisdom (ahah!) removed those three system icons from the systray (for whatever reason) and made them into their own independent button (which brings up the SAME panel for all three icons, as if that made any UI sense?!).

For now and until we work around the issue, for Sounds you can use the Internal Command "Show Volume Control", and for the Wifi icon, you can create a new Program Type item with ms-availablenetworks: in the Filename field.

You can add these to a dock and/or the Quick Launch section of the NextSTART taskbar (if you are running Winstep Xtreme) as you would any other internal command or application (Right click -> Insert New Item).
