Can I piggyback on this thread, as I am having a similar issue, however I do not see an option for Nexstart when I try to add a new item to the dock. Where should it show? I get Item. Module, Sub Dock,but nothing for Nextstart.

Update - I looked at the Nexus help, and it shows a list Folder, Program etc, including hotspot. However when I do the same thing I do not get the hotspot option in the list.

Now that it has been separated I might need to explain more what I am trying to do. I am tring to insert an item into a dock which when pressed calls the Nextstart menu. What I have read and seen online I should right click the dock, insert new item, item, then select Nextstart hotspot from the list. But it doesn't appear in the list, which stops at URL.

Any help out there?

Hi Mike!

Despite knowing that you registered Winstep Xtreme, it sounds like you either have no hotspots defined in NextSTART (not sure how) **or** you are running Nexus Ultimate (not sure how either) instead of WorkShelf/Winstep Xtreme.

Do me a favor: in the same dock you are trying to insert the item, right click the Nexus control icon (or if clicking any item then select the Nexus option in the sub-menu that pops up) then Preferences (NOT Dock Properties, but Preferences).

What logo is shown in the About tab of Preferences? A W with two hammers for WorkShelf or a Nexus icon?

Also, open NextSTART Preferences and go to the Hotspots tab. Can you please post a screenshot of what you see there?

Finally, if you can, open that insert menu lacking the NextSTART option and press the PRTSCR key on your keyboard while the menu is open. This will take a screenshot of your desktop and place it on the Windows clipboard. Paste that screenshot into any paint program (such as MS Paint), crop the relevant area, save as JPG and post it here too please.

Aaahhhh you may have hit the nail on the head, it is showing Nexus Ultimate as I purchassed that first and have been running it and then added Winstep mainly for Nextstart.

I have attached a screenshot will all of the bits, hopefully it is viewable, and not too small print - problems of having a wide screen!

If I shouldn't be running Nexus Ultimate, what should I be running?

Aaahhh now I am getting it, forget the whole question I see what I have been doing wrong using Extreme, and am currently setting up workshelf.
