 Post subject: How to have icons magnify without making dock larger

I want to be able to use magnify or flat magnify for my icons, except I do not want the whole dock to change size when I do that. I know there was a way, but I just got a new computer and have to figure out how I had the program configured all over again.

Use the Zoom mouseover effect instead. You can also fine tune the effect using the Effect Settings button to increase or decrease the zoom magnitude.
