Hi,

when I open a program a have a gap between the shelf and the program (see image). When I open the shelf I have a gap between the taskbar and the shelf. How to get rid of those gaps?

Edit: I use Windows 10

Thanks

Might not appear related at first sight, but check the possible solutions in THIS THREAD.

Are you running a multi-monitor system? If so, do all the monitors have the same DPI settings?

Otherwise, open the *Shelf Properties* dialog for the shelf away from the screen edge (right click the left mini-tab -> Shelf Properties), go to the Position tab, click the Advanced button and once again make sure in the Advanced Position Settings dialog that the gap is set to 0 pixels.

I had a second hdmi cable plugged into my graphic card. I removed it. Nevertheless I never run 2 monitors at the same time on this machine.

To clarify: I right click on the shelf and select "shelf properties" go to position tab and click advanced. When I set the pixels to 0 nothing happens. But when I set the pixels to -11 at least the "normal" gap disappears.
But I would like to have the windows using all of the screen from top to bottom. Now the windows "end" at the beginning of the shelf.
I hope you understand what I mean :D

In the Position tab of the Shelf Properties dialog clear the 'Prevent maximized windows from overlapping the shelf' setting.

Now it works! I had to select "show above other windows" as well. Thanks Jorge :)

Ah, I get crazy. The shelf doesn't disappear when something is full screen
I would say I understand the settings, but the shelf doesn't work as I want it to.
