I want to achieve this effect. I have an icon panel (it's horizontal) and the particular icons referring to apps work fine. But i also want to use a sort of "stack" effect - when i click on a folder's icon i want the content of it to unfold verticaly below. I don't know if i need to use folders or subdocks for this. I sort of managed to do it, but the list of content is not unfolding with animation, it appears instantly, there's a background to it and also labels. I want just the icons to appear underneath with smooth animation, without any background, labels and i want them to be equal in size with the main icons in the panel (the horizontal ones).
I know it's possible, because i had it working on my previous system, but now i can't figure it out.
Could someone help me with this?

You can create a subdock for each folder you want to expand. Here are the steps you can follow:
Right-click on your horizontal icon panel and select "New Subdock" from the context menu.
Name the subdock and click "OK".
Drag and drop the folder icon onto the subdock.
Right-click on the subdock and select "Properties".
In the "Properties" window, go to the "Appearance" tab.
Set the "Label" option to "None".
Set the "Background" option to "None".
Set the "Icon Size" option to the same size as your horizontal icons.
Click "OK" to save your changes.
Now, when you click on the folder icon on your horizontal panel, the subdock containing the icons in the folder will expand vertically beneath it with a smooth animation. The icons will appear without any background or labels and will be the same size as your horizontal icons.
