I've moved to a different state and I can't get the weather app to work right. I can set my location, however I get this - "valid name, no data record of requested type"

Anyone know why and how to fix?

:Moderator's note - large text removed, new thread merged into existing one - nexter:

I moved your post and its replies to an existing thread as it was completely unnecessary for you to start a new one. In fact, had you read the two existing threads just below the 'Stickies' your post would have been entirely superfluous!

Please study the 'Board Rules and Guidelines' before posting, and get to know the forum and spot such as the other threads already referred to. Errors such as this can easily lead to an official warning or even a ban in extreme cases.

For now, the MSN feed is back! For how long may be another question....

Nah, stumbled on it by accident and equally by accident put it right... :P

I don't know if this helps. I use a program called XWidget for current weather and forecasts. I have been using it for years and it has never failed to get the weather information. I believe the widgets use AccuWeather.

Might be useful for some, but see Jorge's post re: AccuWeather in this thread - viewtopic.php?f=2&t=12513

The only Winstep module I use is the talking clock - It helps me keep track of the time. I use XWidget for weather, system monitoring, etc.

Here is the link for XWidget

https://www.xwidget.com/

It is now 100% free - The Steam version is still $3.99 but it is the same as the free version. Previous versions had a nag screen to upgrade to pro. I don't know if the latest version still has the nag screen or not. The pro version was $9.99. I upgraded to the pro version because I really liked the program.

There are a few suites based on Winstep Themes - Here are two

Here is a link to the largest producer of XWidgets. There are hundreds of widgets available. You need a free account to download from the DeviantArt website.

The program works well with Winstep Xtreme. The only problem I have encountered is an occasional XWidget crash when installing multiple widgets at the same time. Other than that it is very stable. My system CPU usage is at 5% running Winstep Xtreme and 4 widgets.

Yes, Xwidget has been around for quite a long time, and it's a great companion for applications like Nexus/Winstep Xtreme. :D

Put it right!? Was in Windows for a couple of hours this afternoon and switched in the weather mod. Haha, MSN feed was almost literally pissing in the wind! On a location without Metar code, it came up with forecast from two weeks ago, and on another with Metar code the four day forecast was from a couple of days ago. Didn't have time for more experimentation, but something's definitely still rotten in the state of Denmark.
