Basically when I click in the System Tray Button no icons are displayed. Before I tried to fix it, a message that said that "the icons are hidden" or something similar appeared but now it just does nothing.

Details, details, details - the devil's in them! See the Board Rules and Guidelines concerning this and other guidelines and tips about posting.

Are you running Windows 11 22H2?

Please read THIS then.

The Winstep Xtreme/Nexus Ultimate v23.7 beta kind of mitigates this issue but does not fix it.

Would it be better to downgrade? go to 21h2?

That would fix all the system tray issues, yes. That's what I would have personally done here if I could, since 22H2 is absolutely riddled with bugs too (e.g. Windows reporting incorrect per-process CPU usage, among others) which Microsoft seems determined in not fixing despite 22H2 being out for many months now.

Unless you just installed 22H2 on top of 21H2 (i.e. in the last 30 days IIRC), you will have to do a clean install of Windows 11 21H2.
