Hello, recent update to Nexus Ultimate (v. 23.07.1611) seems to have changed the behavior of the system tray expand button. Previously it would show hidden system tray icons (as expected and desired), now it reveals the pen menu. Not an issue with previous version.

OS is Win 11 22H2.

Under Windows 11 22H2 when you press the systray expand button the Winstep application emulates a WIN + B key sequence followed by the Enter key. WIN + B brings the focus to the systray and the Enter key then serves as a mouse click on the currently selected icon (which **normally** would be the Windows system tray/show hidden icons expand button).

Sounds like in your system WIN + B is not giving focus to this expand button for some reason but rather to the Pen icon (I guess MS made that optional icon appear in the same section as the expand button and before it?! Sigh). Try exiting the Winstep application so the Windows taskbar becomes visible and then press WIN + B to see what becomes selected in the Windows taskbar.

This said, previous to the v23.7 update, under Windows 11 22H2 and because of the changes MS made, nothing would happen when pressing the Winstep systray expand button - UNLESS, possibly, you are running a 3rd party application like Explorer Patcher (in which case it should have been mentioned in your post).

Seems to be a peculiar interaction between most recent version of Nexus + Hide Windows Taskbar Nexus option + StartAllBack. Interestingly, StartAllBack doesn't change Win+b+enter behavior by itself, however when it's running and Nexus' Hide Windows taskbar option is selected, Win+b+enter opens the pen menu ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Frustrating, because StartAllBack makes the Windows start menu considerably more functional imo, however with it disabled everything works as expected.

*Edit* For those who'd like to use StartAllBack + Nexus, disabling "Use enhanced classic taskbar" in StartAllBack does the trick
