Hi guys...
I haven't the latest version and have 22.07.1159...and it loads so slowly.....
It is bad enough on Windows 10 but on Windows 11....help!
Are there improvements with the latest version that will improve this?

Unfortunately I don't have the time to do a forum search on this, but I feel fairly sure this has happened before, and I'm equally sure that the problem was either in the system configuration or a third party app, or possibly drivers....

Do a search of the forum and you may find out more.

By "loading so slowly" you mean it takes a long time to launch on Windows startup?

If that's it have you already tried checking the 'Enable Fast Boot' option in the General tab of WorkShelf/Nexus Preferences?

Windows deliberately delays the launch of 3rd party applications during system startup to make itself look good. The Winstep 'Fast boot' option makes sure the Winstep application is launched before the rest...

Lot do do over Christmas....
Just getting back to my own stuff now...
Fast Boot wasn't enabled....when I did that it was brilliant and then not so brilliant...
After engaging Fast Boot I rebooted and it was very quick on login to start while the other services took their time...nice I thought...
On reboot back to slow....
I have hidden Windows taskbar now and that shows on the right when logging into Windows and then it disappears when the rest of the stuff has loaded....
When I look at the Fast Boot log....it is the same for when Nexus ultimate has started quickly as it is for when it loads slowly....
I have checked the time stamp each time as well...
I am getting as below:

I have removed all the animations...but that doesn't seem to have made a difference.
I have attached a pic of my setup at the moment.

Thanks for the Fast Boot log.

The number you should see is 7, not 12. 12 means fast boot did not work as intended, but this is happening here too - I think Windows changed something (again!) that broke Fast Boot or made it work only intermittently.

I'll have to take a deeper look at this.

Ok, you're running Nexus Ultimate, right?

Give THIS a try then (don't forget to exit all running Winstep applications before running setup) and paste back the results of the Fastboot.log file after a reboot.

Ok....I did as you suggested closed nexus ultimate and then ran you installation...
The first problem is your version is a newer version and I am not activated with a license for that one.....but not a problem I was trying to get around to upgrading and wasn't sure if I would install the Xtreme version...
I love new gadgets so the Xtreme version it will probably be....
Sorry....back to the test...after reboot when I logged in I was met with a fast boot Nexus...but did notice my Windows taskbar showing itself briefly...

So that is according to what it should be....
Ok....now the negative side of this beta version...
After reboot....slow start but still the same code showing as above....
I even turned off the computer and tried....slow start and same code as above...

So maybe a little more work?

I found that the problem is actualy not with winstep but windows explorer

use

win+r and run sysdm.cpl
under advanced tab > performance settings > advanced > virtual memory > change settings to automatic allocation of virtual memory for all drives

It helped my slow start problem everything runs smooth now
