Hey there, does anyone know if there's a way to disable the dock from popping up and staying up when an app needs attention? Every time someone messages me on Discord or something it pops up and stays up and I can't find the option to disable it, but it's getting very annoying. People spam me constantly pretty much so the dock keeps popping up and getting in the way of what I'm doing. For whatever reason the dock also makes my Photoshop window header flash whenever I use it or if it pops up. If anyone knows how to change this please let me know! Thanks.

I don't know if this will help but you can give it a try.

Right click on the dock and select "Dock Properties". Click on the "Behavior" tab, then click on "Activation Settings". Make sure "Activate if hidden when an application in the dock requests attention" is unchecked.

I believe the default is checked as in the illustration.

I think that may well be it, @Nezbit. Only other thing I could think off would be accidental activation by bump or swipe - can so easily happen and seems plausible as issue only occurs sometimes.

Oh good! Means I don't have to chase it up. :)
